16 - hour new Live Aid concert set for 2 July in Hyde Park

A new Live Aid Show, 20 years since the original Live Aid at Wembley, is expected to take place in Hyde Park, on July 2. The event organised by Sir Bob Geldford coincides with the G8 world leaders' summit in Scotland on Third World debt, and therefore fill be named "LIVE 8"Artists like Robbie Williams, U2, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Coldplay, Oasis or Joss Stone are set to be confirmed for the massive concert in summer, alongside original Band Aid veterans like Annie Lennox and Sting, pround to be a part of this project meant to raise money for the relief of famine in 3rd world countries. The 1985 Live Aid concert gathered on stage stars like Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner, Bono, Phil Collins etcArtists will perform free for this show which will be broadcast by all major commercial radio stations and will also be screened live on BBC. The Prince of Wales is expected to take part at the event and Nelson Mandela might appear live or send a message via video link.
