Robbie Williams goes down on fans

'Thursday, 10 Nov 2005 14:30The special, pay-only section of Robbie Williams's website was forced into meltdown after a huge volume of Robbie fanatics stormed on to try and buy advance tickets for his world tour. Thousands of fans who had paid £25 to join the Inner Sanctum section of his site were left seething after they couldn't access the page where they could buy tickets from – simply because there too many of them. The massive influx of hits rocketed Robbie's official site to the top of the music and bands chart of websites, according to Hitwise. The web traffic monitoring firm said traffic to the site increased by 27 per cent on the day the tickets went on sale, and marked a 1,000 per cent increase on its flow since its launch. Robbie Williams's spokesman quelled fears among paying fans however, saying the site is now fully operational again. He said: "The system did get overloaded and crashed, but the problem's been fixed and there are still tickets on sale." This means paid-up members of the Inner Sanctum, where they can also see pictures of Robbie's penis, can still get in on the advance tickets before they go on general sale on Saturday November 19th. He plays the UK in September 2006. '
