BRITISH pop star Robbie Williams has entered the Guinness World Records by selling more than 1.6 million tickets for his world tour in one day.
The heart-throb singer takes the five-year-old record from US star Justin Timberlake's former group, NSync.
In 2000, the boy band sold one million tickets in one day for their No Strings Attached US tour, worth $54 million.
Tickets to Williams' 2006 tour, worth $187 million, sold out in hours on November 19.
Guinness editor Craig Glenday called it "a proud day for British pop".
Rumours abound that Williams' former boy band, Take That, will reform without him after a 10-year absence from the charts.'
