Woman faces anguish over Robbie rumours

'A SWANWICK woman has faced six months of anguish over claims that she is Robbie Williams' half sister.
Sue Noble of New Street has been subject to tabloid journalists from national newspapers, knocking on her door and asking if she's the mega star's half sister.

Sue , who is adamant that she is not related to the Stoke-on-Trent born singer, said: "The first I heard of it was when a journalist knocked on my mum's door six months ago, since then a number of others have turned up on my doorstep and called."One turned up and said he had a tip-off that I was Robbie's half sister. He was quite obnoxious and made a comment about my house not being like the Robbie Williams lifestyle. He also had a copy of my birth certificate and asked why it didn't say Williams on it."Another said he had genuine information and reason to believe that my mum had an affair with Robbie's dad in the 60s. My parents have been married since 1958, my mum never knew Robbie's dad and she involved the police when journalists started knocking on her door."
Sue is so sick of the unwanted attention that she has even consulted a solicitor. A letter was sent to two national newspapers in March, instructing them to stop harassing her. She even offered to provide a DNA sample, but hasn't heard anything back yet.
On her solicitor's advice she has turned to the Ripley and Heanor News to put the record straight and tell everyone she is nothing to do with Robbie."I need your help," she said, when she telephoned last week.
She doesn't know why people have been led to believe that she is related to the star but thinks that there has been a mix-up somewhere along the line. She said: "There is no way I'm his half sister, unless someone is not telling me something."Robbie Williams' press office had no comment to make. on the allegations when contacted by the News.
