Beckham to introduce Williams at Live 8

'Soccer superstar DAVID BECKHAM will take the stage at the London leg of charity event LIVE 8 - to introduce singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS. The REAL MADRID ace will make his appearance at the Hyde Park concert on 2 July (05) after being persuaded to do so by his wife, former SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM, and Williams himself. An insider says, "Robbie said it was a shame David couldn't be involved somehow and the idea just popped into his head. "David seemed a bit nervous at first but Victoria convinced him it would be a great idea. "It won't be a long speech but he will have something important to say." Live 8 concerts will be staged in London, Berlin, Rome, Paris and Philadelphia on 2 July, and a sixth show will take place in Scotland on 6 July to coincide with the G8 summit to tackle poverty and Third World debt.'
