Robbie Williams would make a perfect Robin Hood!

'The BBC repotedly wants singer Robbie Williams to play the character of Robin Hood in the series based on the legendary outlaw, so as to improve their ratings compared to ITV's in the Saturday night ratings war. "We are developing and hope to do a Robin Hood. It's another iconic family drama", Femalefirst quoted the controller of BBC 1 as saying. The channel is planning to revamp the series with the hope that it will be as successful as 'Dr Who', which had earlier been reinvented and helped BBC thrash ITV on Saturdays. "Like 'Dr Who', we would try and reinvent it. Robbie Williams would be great - we have asked him for a few projects and he has the kind of swagger we are looking for. We may have to ditch the tights though", said BBC drama boss Jane Tranter.'(ANI)
