POP superstar Robbie Williams has added a second date at Roundhay Park, Leeds, next year, one of just three UK venues where he will perform.
Fans have been able to buy tickets via the star's website for his first concert at the park on Saturday, September 9 but tickets have not yet gone on general sale. The former boy band heart-throb who has become one of the world's biggest-selling stars will also play in the park on Friday, September 8. Williams will play to more than 75,000 people on each of his two Leeds dates. His arrival in Leeds will be part of his biggest world tour, announced on Wednesday. It opens in South Africa on April 10, and Williams will perform in 13 countries, including France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland, to more than 1.6m fans. The tour's other UK venues are Hampden Park in Glasgow and the new Wembley Stadium in London. In the 1980s and 1990s Roundhay Park played host to rock legends including Madonna, the Rolling Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson, but it is eight years since it staged a major event. Tickets go on general sale on Nov-ember 19 but are already available on the internet at RobbieWilliams.com .
