Robbie Williams reportedly wanted for Bond song

Will pop star Robbie Williams join the ranks of Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones as the crooner of a James Bond theme song? Ireland Online is reporting that Williams has been approached about singing the song, written by Tony Christie and described as a "typical" Bond style theme song with a prominent bassline.
What, they didn't consider Ashlee Simpson? Seriously -- who would you pick to sing the Bond theme song? Personally, I was holding out for the Asian Backstreet Boys, also known as the Back Dormitory Boys, to land a sweet Bond deal to top off their Motorola swag, but hey, I'm willing to stay open-minded.'
