A fortnight ahead of his hugely anticipated concert tour of South Africa, British superstar Robbie Williams has been enjoying the Cape Town nightlife, taking over the VIP section of Camps Bay club Ignite on Thursday evening with a small group of friends.
Williams, whose concerts in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town in April sold out in minutes, had reportedly been watching a fireworks festival at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town the previous evening.
But on Thursday it was the singer causing the fireworks, as word spread rapidly around the club that Williams was in attendance.
A queue quickly formed outside the VIP section, curtained off from the rest of the club, a chic Cape Town hangout overlooking Camps Bay beach that is popular with the city's well-heeled partygoers.
Security allowed some patrons in to meet Williams, who appeared relaxed and in good spirits, causing great excitement amongst those granted a fleeting audience with the former boy band Take That star.
Williams will play Cape Town's Green Point Stadium on April 13 as part of his world tour.'
