An England team of ex-pros and celebrities led by Robbie Williams, above, beat the Rest of the World 2-1 in a show watched by 6.1 million.
A BBC insider said: "It shows Doctor Who can exterminate all opposition - this time Robbie Williams, Maradona and Ant and Dec.
"It was a great night." '
