'MALAYSIAN fans of Robbie Williams will get a chance to watch him perform, for one night only, in Singapore on Nov 18. The Asian leg of his world tour, Robbie Williams: Close Encounters, will culminate at the National Stadium.

Robbie Williams will be perfoming in Singapore on Nov 18.Promoter Michael Hosking said “the world’s favourite entertainer and most dynamic showman ever seen”, will also perform in Bangkok and Hong Kong for the first time in five years, and play dates in India and China for the first time ever.
Billed as the biggest musical event in Singapore this millennium, Williams looks set to ignite the famous “Kallang Roar” for possibly the last time at the stadium, where plans are underway for demolition.
According to Hosking, “the last time Robbie staged a concert in Singapore in 2001, all 10,000 tickets were sold out in a few days.
The show was fantastic and we anticipate a similar ticket sales trend, especially given the fact how spectacular this show is and how his fan base has increased ten-fold in the last five years”.
Fans who have kept the faith can expect an amazing show complete with six-storey high stage, 35 tonnes worth of pyrotechnics, lights and video walls, a roof specially brought in from Australia as well as assigning a crew of 400 for the whole production.
“Singapore is looking forward to an electrifying performance by this natural showman and iconic pop personality.
The city has always been a must-stop destination for many of the world's best acts in the performing arts and music scene and we are excited to welcome Robbie Williams back, as well as his fans from the region,” says Oliver Chong, director, Singapore Tourism Board.
The World Tour started in Dublin on June 9 and visits 14 countries on 44 different dates and will finish in Australia.
It is estimated his live audience will total 2.6 million.
For a weekend escape with Robbie Williams, fans can purchase tickets at www.sistic.com. Ticket prices start from SS$40 (RM92) to S$300 (RM690).
