Robbie gives 'em what they want!

All 65,000 Robbie fans got their fill at the gig too – a deliciously pooled pick of the Williams pops that began with Radio, and wound up two hours later with Kids. In between? One long hit parade was rolled before us – Rock DJ, Millennium and Make Me Pure are obvious choices to keep the ripe audience enthused, and the band? Pure class that gelled perfectly with their master. Now imagine the fun you could have if you took your best pal to work with you. That's exactly what Robbie has done for this tour, and he introduces Jonathan Wilkes by saying "He's the Ant to my Dec, the Crouch to my Rooney", before the pair launch into a truly fitting rendition of Me and My Shadow. They are simply a couple of lads having a laugh on a night out. Albeit with a somewhat expanded circle of friends. Blimey, at one point it's like watching Morecambe and Wise. It makes you smile.Max Beasley makes an appearance on the drum stool, and current single Rudebox is a highlight among highlights, but don't take my word for it – by the end of this evening, some 325,000 fans will have visited the National Bowl to see the show in the past few days.Wembley's loss was definitely our gain, and Robbie had this concert lark well and truly 'licked.'
