Robbie sees a shrink

Quoted from: http://www.dailysnack.com

'SHE'S the only woman who has ever enjoyed longevity in his life. So perhaps now Robbie Williams’ mum has asked him to get help from a psychiatrist, he'll listen. Her intervention could be in the nick of time as Bob the entertainer’s tears of a clown routine is becoming as tired as it is clichéd... The 32-year-old heart-throb multi-millionaire disappointed thousands of fans by cancelling the Asian leg of his world tour citing "stress and exhaustion". Because the star, who was disappointed with the lukewarm reception surrounding his last single Rudebox, is really rather good, we want him to get better. So we applaud his mum Jan, 56, for stepping in with some "tough words of love" after Rob’s erratic behaviour started to really worry her. According to sources close to Robbie, 32, drug counseller Jan persuaded her son to get advice from an exclusive psychiatric practice in Chelsea. Friends claim Robbie, currently resting at his home in LA, turned to a new counsellor for help in understanding what causes the periods of depression that he calls "blues". Jan recalled after helping Robbie overcome his previous problems: "He was in the depths of despair. I had to practice what I call tough love. I still loved him, but I didn’t like him very much."Robbie’s behaviour before his break was also giving his entourage cause for concern. He was struggling to get out of bed before 3pm and often complained he couldn’t face getting up on stage in the evening. He told Stephen Fry, 47, that his live performances were his "manic" periods and that he was often depressed without the live buzz. The Stoke-born star, left, opened his heart to the raconteur for his BBC2 show The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive. He said: "I only get the manic highs when I’m on stage, it’s downhill after that."Sir Elton John, 59, who has tried to help Robbie overcome his problems in the past, has said: "Robbie is the No.1 star in the world."He should let all the other s**t go and if he can’t then he needs to see someone to talk about it."'
