AMSTERDAM - Robbie Williams can fill easily days in a row the Amsterdam Arena , but on wednesday evening he chose for an intimate concert. Just 1500 happy ones could be present at Paradiso in Amsterdam, where the Brittish singer came to promote his new album Intensive Care.
It were not only new numbers the singer played, but also old known ones like Feel, Angels, Come Undone and Rock DJ.
Again Robbie Williams proved that not only he is a singer, but also a great entertainer. It costs him absolutely no effort to get the whole room in his pocket. For instance he was complaining that he was sitting alone in the Amsterdam Hotel on the evening before the concert. "There were only old people there.' He then invited everyone under loud cheering to come and pop by.
The new album will come out at 24 october. The first single, Tripping, of that new record is in the hitlists at the momet. Wednesday in Amsterdam was not yet the official albumpresentation, that will be on sunday in Berlin.
Williams had upcoming for that a number of practise concerts in Paris, London and wednesday evening in Amsterdam. 'You are the very best audience', he flattered the present ones. 'In Paris they were ugly, London was mwah, but you are great." This was according to the singer not just due to the pretty appearance. 'Your hearts radiate.'
The heart of the singer radiated also according to own saying. The evening before the concert he had met swimmer Inge de Bruijn at the show of Paul de Leeuw and he was rather impressed with her. De Bruijn was also present at the concert, just like a lot of other known dutchmen, amongst which Marco and Leontien Borsato, Ruud and Estelle Gullit and Jan Smit.
