Gullit coup for Soccer Aid

'ITV have announced that international football legend Ruud Gullit has signed as the manager of the Rest of the World team for ITV's Soccer Aid.Gullit, a former manager of Chelsea and Newcastle United and regarded as one of the best players in the world, will manage a team of top celebrities and World Cup legends captained by top chef Gordon Ramsay as they take on an England XI captained by Robbie Williams and managed by Terry Venables.
ITV can also exclusively announce that two of Gullit's first signings as manager will be World Cup legends, and his former Chelsea team-mates Gianfranco Zola and Marcel Desailly.
Gullit said: "I'm really looking forward to starting training with my Rest of the World team.
"I've signed two fantastic players in Zola and Desailly to join our captain Gordon Ramsay in what is shaping up to be a very strong team. Robbie Williams and co better watch out!"
Launching a summer of football on ITV, Soccer Aid will take place on the hallowed turf of Old Trafford in front of a capacity crowd on May 27th and live on ITV1.
Daily programmes on ITV1 and ITV2 will follow the celebrities and legends over a week of training, bonding, socialising, and competing for a coveted place in the team.
Soccer Aid is in aid of UNICEF's work for children throughout the world. UNICEF works jointly with partners to help children reach their full potential through long-term and emergency work on health, education and protection for children at risk.
UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions and funds raised by Soccer Aid will enable UNICEF and partners to help more children worldwide.
