'We must point out that the singer Robbie Williams has never been admitted to therapy to cure an insatiable appetite for sex.
We would like to apologise for any embarrassment caused to him by an article on safe sex in the Yorkshire Post of Tuesday, 15 August, entitled 'A question of sex that doesn't supply the answers'. We now accept that the reference was wholly inaccurate and misleading and we sincerely apologise for any distress Mr Williams may have suffered as a result of the article, which also appeared on our website, www.yorkshireposttoday.co.uk.
