'A cynic might look at Robbie Williams and see only a womanising show pony, whose fame and fortune could never allow him to relate to Joe Average. Yet get past the hyped bad-boy image and you'll find a unique and refreshing trait, one that is sorely missed in a world increasingly bent on black-and-white truth.'

PSB turn down the electronics...

Quoted from: http://thejebber.blogspot.com/

'The Boys do this lush, 17-song concert performance with the BBC Concert Orchestra no favors by calling it Concrete, but such is the sometimes-pretentious world of PSB. Despite numerous concerts in their past, it took them 20 years to go the live album route, and it's more engaging than one might expect, although most fans are going to quibble with some of the song choices. I never cared for the Angelo Badalamenti arrangement of "Rent," which brings out the worst in Neil Tennant's vocal delivery - why mess with pop perfection? I could also do without "Nothing Has Been Proved," written for Dusty Springfield back in the day, and "Friendly Fire," which is one of their best songs but thoroughly butchered here by Frances Barber. Other guest appearances, however, provide some of the liveliest moments: "Casanova in Hell," with its too-cute lyrics, seems tailor-made for the vocal flair of Rufus Wainwright, and the PSB-loving Robbie Williams turns in a fine performance of the gloomy, over-the-top ballad "Jealousy." The inclusion of the hypnotic "Dreaming of the Queen" is a pleasant surprise, while the obscure "After All" from Battleship Potemkin is unlikely to pleasantly surprise anyone. Benefiting the most from the live players are tracks like "Left to My Own Devices" (obviously) and "You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk," while "Integral" and "West End Girls" come off surprisingly well with acoustic drums. And solid as this live effort may be, I still don't want to call it Concrete.'

Robbie Williams' Rudebox out

Quoted from: http://www.timesnow.tv

'The video doesnt take any risks. It says the name of the song and the album so many times, one is unlikely to forget it in a hurry. But then, Rudebox is the result of Robbie Williams' 7th entry into the recording studio and it's doing rather well for itself. It was certified platinum in the UK and most of Europe, selling more than half a million copies on the day of its release and it seems that trying to be different has paid off. "I'm just more confident. When I left 'Take That' and started my solo career with some writing partnerships, there were changes which just ran and ran for around 5 albums. You get into a comfort zone - you know the person, you know what you''re gonna do and you're not scared to try things out. But as that's done its course, I'd no other option to go and explore. And this option has given me the confidence to go out and do that," quips Robbie. But all the experimentation hasn't helped him break into the US market yet. This time, too, the response has been nothing more than lukewarm for the man who once sang for the band 'Take That'. His solo career has been going very smoothly since he left, and the success of his latest effort will surely add to the already well-firmed smooth operator image. And though his dream of playing James Bond might remain unfulfilled, the money from a singing career seems pretty good for the moment.

Robbie Williams Is Quite Fond Of Kylie Minogue

Quoted from: http://www.exposay.com/

'Kylie Minogue's boyfriend better hold on tight to his girlfriend because, if Robbie Williams had it his way, he'd be shagging the Aussie superstar by now.
Robbie recently said he's had a crush on Stylin' Kylie for the last 20 years. But then again, what female celebrity hasn't the British pop star had a crush on?
The "Angels" singer - who recorded the British hit single "Kids" with Kylie in 2000 - admits he has been attracted to the diminutive singer ever since she starred in the Australian soap "Neighbors" in the 80s.
Robbie insists he would consider making a move on her if she wasn't with her French actor boyfriend Olivier Martinez.
He said, "I fancied Kylie ever since she was on 'Neighbors,' but as a singer, I fancy her even more."
Robbie has also revealed he tends to be careful when getting up close and personal with his female fans, as the encounters can be a bit scary.
He said, "It's very dangerous, kissing the public. Some bite and some smell."'

Brisbane residents can shush Williams

Quoted from: http://news.ninemsn.com.au

'It's the ultimate form of heckling.
Residents around Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium will be able to use a phone line to shush Robbie Williams when the British entertainer plays two sold-out gigs in December.
The plan is part of special conditions brought in by the Queensland government to allow three major concerts a year to be held at the multi-million dollar sports facility at Milton after local residents complained they didn't want to put up with the noise.
The Williams concert is the first music show to be held at the refurbished stadium since it reopened in 2003.

He'll play Brisbane on December 13 and 14 in front of a combined total of 100,000 fans.
Residents will be able to phone a dedicated information line and complain if music from the concerts and rehearsals bothers them.
During the superstar's rehearsals, sound checks and performances, monitors will keep tabs on noise levels in five nearby locations in the city, Milton and Paddington.
If the sound passes a set limit, an official from the Major Sports Facilities Authority will be present on the sound mixing desk to turn down the volume.
But Sports Minister Andrew Fraser assured fans attending the two concerts no "anti-Robbie Williams grumps" would be able to spoil their nights with unfounded complaints.
He said the phone line was about recognising the rights of local residents.
But he said the volume would only be turned down if it exceeded the set limits at any of the monitoring locations, not just because someone complained.
"If the noise is above the regulations, we'll change it, if it's within it, then we'll continue at that level," Mr Fraser said.
A report will be prepared following each concert on the noise measurements and recommend any remedial actions needed at future events.
Irish supergroup U2 last week played an outdoor concert for 45,000 fans at the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre on Brisbane's southside.
There were many complaints about delays entering the venue and fans also had trouble getting public transport after the U2 concert.
Suncorp Stadium could be the permanent venue for outdoor rock concerts in Brisbane if the Williams show proves successful.

GALLAGHER BLASTS PRECIOUS CELEBS

Quoted from: http://contactmusic.com/

OASIS'OASIS guitarist NOEL GALLAGHER struggles to understand why celebrities isolate themselves from the real world, because he loves nothing more than shopping in his local supermarket. The WONDERWALL rocker insists reclusive British stars like SIR ELTON JOHN and ROBBIE WILLIAMS would get more benefit from walking amongst normal people than any number of hours of therapy. He says, "Life is a great thing, why shut yourself away from it? I can't understand people like Elton John and Robbie Williams going straight from their blacked-out limos to a restaurant. "I stand in the queue at Waitrose. More rock stars should do that. Forget therapy, go to the supermarket and interact. The staff in my local Waitrose are really blase about me now. "They'll be like, 'Him? Oh he's in here all the f**king time. And between me and you, he doesn't eat very well.'"

Robbie Williams [review] [videoclip]

Quoted from: http://www.megastar.co.uk/

'Robbie Williams will release his new single ‘Lovelight’ on November 13th on Chrysalis. Taken from his highly anticipated forthcoming ‘Rudebox’ album which precedes the single on October 23rd.Recorded with NYC based uber-producer Mark Ronson earlier this year is a spectacular cover of Lewis Taylor’s criminally unknown soul-anthem. Together they have taken it from its warm soul roots, and transform it into a building euphoric disco anthem featuring a full-on falsetto vocal performance that ranks amongst one of his most dynamic and definitive singles to date. The single is backed by a spectacular mix package, with new re-workings courtesy of Soulwax, Kurd Maverick, Soul Mekanik and Ronson himself, that look set to follow previous single ‘Rudebox’ into club charts across the world.

Alongside his work with Ronson, ‘Rudebox’ finds RW collaborating with an array of musical mavericks including his heroes the Pet Shop Boys, King of ambient William Orbit, fellow Stoke natives Danny Spencer & Kelvin Andrews AKA Soul Mekanik, disco-house icon Dave ‘Joey Negro’ Lee on both new original compositions and covers of some of his favourite tracks, that mark out his musical loves and life.

Robbie Williams concert no noisier than football matches, promoters say

Quoted from: http://www.abc.net.au

'Promoters of next month's Robbie Williams concert in Brisbane do not expect there will be much for residents to complain about during the show.
Residents living near Lang Park will be able to ring a telephone hotline if they believe the music is too loud.
Also, a State Government official will order the volume turned down if it is exceeding environmental noise levels.
Chugg Entertainment is now checking contractual arrangements with the venue after learning of the noise monitoring plans.
But spokesman Matthew Lazarus-Hall says noise levels will be similar to those experienced at Lang Park in the past.
"We don't expect Robbie Williams to be any louder than the victory cheers that resounded through Suncorp Stadium when Queensland won the State of Origin," he said.'

Robbie Williams - Rudebox [review]

Quoted from: http://entertainment.ie/

Robbie Williams - Rudebox'Love him or loathe him, you simply cannot deny that Robert Peter Williams has been responsible for some of the greatest pop singles of the 90s and beyond. C'mon - No Regrets? Strong? Rock DJ?. So, it came as something of a surprise when last year's Intensive Care (actually the best-selling album of his career) - was disappointingly drab. Choc-full of reflective, mostly mid-paced ballads, it signalled a change of pace for Williams, and apparently waved goodbye to the incendiary, cheeky, likeable pop that he excelled in. We should have known better. Williams has returned with possibly not only the finest offering of his career to date, but one that sounds like the album he's always wanted to make. On this evidence, it would seem that he's been immersing his lugs in 80s nostalgia; not only are most tracks smattered with electronica, but the both Pet Shop Boys and Human League also feature in some form or other. The former's influence is prevalent throughout; on the title's track's funky, robotic-laced bleepfest, Buslem Normal's sparse, spacey glow and not least on synth-laden tongue-in-cheek homage She's Madonna. Messrs. Tennant and Lowe also make an appearance on the excellent cover of My Robot Friend's We're the Pet Shop Boys (irony is alive and well in RW HQ), which isn't the sole cover on offer, either. Manu Chao's Bongo Bong receives a spicy, colourful makeover with Lily Allen on guest vocals; Stephen 'Tin Tin' Duffy's 80s classic Kiss Me is well-suited to Williams' warm voice, which has now made it a surefire dancefloor hit at G-A-Y, and the Human League's Louise also gets the treatment - albeit with none of the bittersweet charm that the original exuded. Most of Williams' original compositions are also top-notch, oozing the cheeky-chappy charm and clever turn of phrase he was once famed for; and though there are a few bloopers (Good Doctor, Summertime), overall, Rudebox is a thrilling return to form that suggests that Williams still has a hell of a lot to offer.'

Robbie Williams is not a pantomime dame

Quoted from: http://xrrf.blogspot.com

'So, it's come to this: Robbie Williams is doing panto.Oh, yes he... oh, please yourselves. He's going to appear as hologram genie in the Stoke Regent's Aladdin, which is starring - oh, the surprise - Jonathan Wilkes. It sounds like a cracking night out - yelling "Robbie Williams is behind you" at Wilkes is something every tabloid editor and gossip hound dreams of.It's also the second time this year Williams has appeared as a hologram - he was there in annoyingly unpunchable form during the Take That gigs. Perhaps he's only prepared to appear like this now, and Parkinson will have to listen to some lightbulbs blubbing about how nobody understands how difficult it is being rich.Let's try not to think of the actual jobbing actor who would have loved the chance to play the genie and earn some money at Christmas who's been elbowed aside by a magic lantern version of a pop star.'

While You Were Sleeping - Saturday Night

'It seems that half of Hollywood was at Hyde and/or Teddy's! Adorable Adam Brody was there (without Rachel Bilson!), Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz came separately, Lindsay Lohan showed up with a member of Pete's crew, Stavros Niarchos came and went (looking like he hadn't bathed in weeks), Screen Superheros Ioan Gruffud of Fantastic Four and Dean Caine (Superman from Lois & Clark) signed autographs, Brett Ratner and Jack Osbourne milked the attention, and Robbie Williams told us what he's decided to name his new album (something that rhymes with "spit"). After Hyde, Pete and his peeps ended the night over at Teddy's, where we also found Flags of our Fathers' cute Jesse Bradford!'

It's only clock 'n roll

Quoted from: http://www.sundaymail.co.uk

Liam & Noel Gallagher '"So what about Robbie?Noel told me: "I don't like Robbie Williams' records, it's not my bag at all. But the guy has carved out a career for himself after really only being a backing dancer."I remember seeing him once at the Brits after he'd had one of his six-month periods of mouthing off. He put his hand out to shake mine and I said: 'Not when you're wearing eye liner, Sonny Jim.'"Again, I bear Robbie no malice at all because he doesn't enter my way of thinking."I've heard about the secret track on his latest album Rudebox attacking us but I can't be bothered with it any more. He's got his thing, he sells out stadiums around the world - good luck to him." Noel did fire a warning to Mr. Williams though. The guitarist sings lead vocals on several of the hits on Stop The Clocks. Has he considered a solo career?"Robbie is probably the biggest solo artist in the country but I'd eat him for breakfast," he said."Why? Because I write better songs, I'm a better singer and I've got soul. End of ******* argument.'

Bono duets with Kylie in Sydney

Quoted from: http://news.bbc.co.uk

Kylie Minogue performs in Sydney'Pop star Kylie Minogue was joined on stage by U2 frontman Bono during the second night of her comeback tour.
They duetted on a version of the hit single Kids, which Minogue originally performed with Robbie Williams in 2000.
The pop star resumed her Showgirl world tour in Sydney on Friday. It had been postponed since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.
Minogue, 38, will play 20 concerts in her native Australia before the tour reaches the UK in January next year.
On the first night, an emotional Minogue held back tears as she thanked fans for their support.
"I have thought about this moment for a long time," she told the cheering audience.
"And I tried to practice in my head what I was going to say - [but] I couldn't prepare anything, I really couldn't."

Stressful changes
The tour has changed significantly from last year's Showgirl concerts because Minogue is not yet fully fit.

Kylie began the concert with Better The Devil You Know"I'm as prepared as I can be but I'm not sure that I'll be able to do everything that I did before," she told reporters last week.
"Not that I do an enormous amount of jumping all over the stage, but quick changes are really stressful."
Despite her worries, the star puts on an energetic performance, and manages to squeeze into a variety of costumes designed by fashion icons such as Dolce e Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld, Emilio Pucci and John Galliano.
The concert features hits from her 20-year-long pop career, including In Your Eyes, Shocked, and Better The Devil You Know - which opened the show.
She also premiered a new song, White Diamond, co-written with the US dance act, Scissor Sisters.

Pop career

Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer last year shortly after finishing the UK leg of her Showgirl tour.
She had surgery in Australia within days of the diagnosis, and completed chemotherapy in December 2005. She still receives treatment to prevent a return of the cancer.
The pop star first found fame as an actress in the 1980s, starring as car mechanic Charlene in the popular soap opera Neighbours.
She launched her pop career in Australia with a cover version of Little Eva's The Locomotion, and has since scored 37 hit singles in the UK.
She currently lives in Paris with actor Olivier Martinez.

Robbie Williams - Lovelight (EMI) [review]

Quoted from: http://www.musicomh.com/

'UK release date: 13 November 2006

Say what you like about Robbie Williams, but he's never dull. Rudebox is a quite baffling album, either the mark of a misunderstood genius, or - more likely - the work of a bored multi-millionaire who's thought "I wonder if my fans will buy any old crap" and released a collection of half-arsed cover versions and self-indulgent raps.
Happily, the version of Lewis Taylor's underground disco classic Lovebox is by far the best track on Rudebox, making it the obvious choice to be released as a single. Produced by Mark Ronson, fresh from working on two of the best albums of the year with Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, it's a shimmering disco funk number, reminiscent of Scissor Sisters or George Michael in his pomp. Even Robbie's falsetto, which he's adopted here, doesn't prove too irritating.
He's obviously in a bit of a weird place right now, and while Lovelight certainly isn't the best thing he's ever done, it's enough to save him from the commercial suicide that surely would have taken place had most of other Rudebox's tracks been released as a single.

Robbie Williams breaks records despite lukewarm reception from critics

Quoted from: http://music.monstersandcritics.com

'By Lars Brandle Nov 10, 2006, 16:20 GMT

Despite lukewarm reviews from the music press, Robbie Williams' latest album 'Rudebox' (Chrysalis) has gone on to become a record-breaker, according to October certifications issued Wednesday (Nov. 8) by the IFPI.
Williams' seventh studio album shifted two million copies in the week following its Oct. 23 release, the IFPI reported. The album debuted at No. 1 of the European Top 100 Albums chart, following chart-topping debuts in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark and Finland.
'Rudebox' is one of four albums in October to receive a Platinum Europe Award, in recognition of shipments in excess of 1 million units.
Scissor Sisters' claimed a brace of Platinum Europe trophies during the period. The N.Y. group's self-titled Polydor debut 2004 set received its third honor, having surpassed three million pan-European shipments. In addition, the band`s latest set from September, 'Ta-Dah,' crossed the one-million milestone.
British prog-rock trio Muse, fresh from taking out the best alternative trophy at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 2, saw their July release 'Black Holes and Revelations' (Helium 3/Warner Bros) hit one million European shipments.

ROBBIE WILLIAMS LEADS BRIT MILLION SELLERS

Quoted from: http://music3w.com/

'UK Acts Lead Platinum List

Robbie Williams currently leads the top European sellers list this year according to the BPI. The singer shifted 12 millions units of his three albums - 'Greatest Hits', 'Intensive Care' and 'Rudebox'. Robbie was well ahead of his nearest rival, Coldplay who sold 4 million copies of both 'Parachutes' and 'X&Y' although ex-grunt James Blunt sold more of a single album than any other artist with his 'Back to Bedlam' debut topping the 5 million mark. Of the 36 IFPI Platinum Awards this year - given for million selling albums - UK acts scooped more than half although the list is unlikely to be complete as several new releases including Razorlight, Snow Patrol and the Arctic Monkeys have yet to be factored in. The list includes artists who span over 40 years of Brit-Pop history from The Rolling Stones with 'A Bigger Bang' and more recent rising stars such as The Kooks with thier million-seller 'Inside In/Inside Out'.

"Take That" No Longer Want Robbie Williams To Rejoin Band

Quoted from: http://www.allheadlinenews.com

'November 9, 2006 8:09 a.m. EST
Maira Oliveira - All Headline News Reporter
London, England (BANG) - Although many of their fans all over the world would be delighted to see the five original band members reunite, the reality is things have drastically changed in the past 10 years.
British pop superstars Take That recently vowed to never let their former band member Robbie Williams back in the group, despite previously inviting the singer to join them on their reunion tour.
The reformed British boy band - comprised of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald - have no plans to invite the "Angels" singer to join them again, because he's become a stranger to them now.
Howard told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "To let somebody in when you don't know what's going on in their head is not a good idea."
While the band is currently riding high on the success of their sell-out comeback tour and are soon to release their new single "Patience" - taken from their forthcoming album "Beautiful World" - Robbie's latest record, "Rudebox," has been panned by critics.
Howard added, "If we have big success with this album - really big success - then to let him back when we don't really know him any more would be a mistake. The others may have some opinions on this, but I don't think we need him."
Last year, when the 90s pop sensation announced they were reuniting after 10 years apart, they were eager for Robbie to join them on stage. However, the problematic singer snubbed them and he only appeared as a ten-foot hologram that was beamed onto a waterfall.'

Robbie's rude and ready [interview]

Quoted from: The Herald Sun

'ROBBIE Williams conquers demons and bullies with his success, writes Cameron Adams.
It's a bizarre moment. Robbie Williams is at home in LA, doing a phone interview.
We're talking about Take That, his former boy band who reunited -- minus their most famous former member -- earlier this year.
They have a new single, Patience.
Williams says he hasn't heard it.
"The only way I can get it is by illegally downloading it," he says.
And so he is introduced to the wonders of www.youtube.com
"Is it on there?" Williams says, excitedly, moving over to his computer.
"Hang on (types). Take . . . That . . . How do you spell patience?"
A quick spelling lesson later, the sounds of Take That, circa 2006, blare out.
Williams pauses. "Ah, I think I'll take a look at this after we've talked. It's a bit too weird, really."'

COMMENT ON THIS STORY

LOVELORN Robbie Williams made a play for Hollywood party girl Lindsay Lohan - but was left stunned when she blanked him.
He ambled up to the 20-year-old actress in a club and tried to deliver a chat-up line, but she just gave him a 'weird look' and walked off.
Red-faced Robbie, who has a £90million fortune, quietly left the nightspot with his two minders. An onlooker said: 'Robbie was hanging around in the VIP area with his bodyguards when he saw his chance to chat up Lindsay.
'After making a bit of eye contact he went over. But she was having none of it. She just turned on her heels and walked away.'
The singer, 32, had arrived at Los Angeles club Hyde looking dapper in a jacket with tails and jeans.
Onlookers said he immediately started trying to chat up girls before noticing Lindsay - currently dating Diana Ross's son Evan, 18.
One said: 'He seemed to be in a huge hurry and was hitting on every attractive girl in the vicinity.'
Robbie recently told how he would only quit music if he fell in love.
He said work gives him a 'purpose'.
He added: 'If I fall in love and want to travel around the world with that person, then perhaps I will stop.
'But I'm not in love. I have work to do which gives me a purpose in life.''

Robbie Williams, Rudebox (EMI) *** [review]

'By Dave Stanford

TEN years down the line into his solo career, and Robbie Williams has finally produced his Marmite moment, an album fans will love or hate. Gone is the super-slick, cheeky-chappy, pop phenomenon, radically overhauled and replaced by an electro-funk, electro-pop-laden rapping Robbie, expletives aplenty.
Does it work? Sometimes yes, and sometimes no.
Tracks such as The 80s and The 90s - autobiographical raps covering his teenage and Take That years - sum it up perfectly. It's Robbie-does-The Streets in a Staffordshire accent. It should be terrible. But it's highly amusing and not as bad as you think.
There are several eclectic covers: Lewis Taylor's unknown soul anthem Lovelight is turned into a euphoric disco tune, Stephen Duffy's 80s classic Kiss Me is reinvented (for the better), and we have the bizarre situation of a cover-of-a-cover with My Robot Friend's We Are The Pet Shop Boys.
His efforts at "wonky pop" are less successful. The single and album opener Rudebox, with its slack-rap delivery and thumping bass, is embarrassingly bad. Like a dancing dad at a wedding, it's Robbie trying too hard to be hip, while Bongo Bong And Je Ne T'Aime Plus, featuring Lilly Allen, is too bonkers for its own good.
The ballads and sugar-coated pop have, mercifully, been left at the door, replaced by something fresh, fun and frantic. Sometimes he hits the bull's-eye, sometimes he shoots himself in the foot, but at least Robbie is taking risks.
Robbie might be hunting credibility but The Ordinary Boys are seemingly chasing celebrity. ... '

Celebs: Music make-ups and break-ups, Kidman's a "wreck" and Posh moans about shopping

Quoted from: http://www.inthenews.co.uk

'One popstar who is doing his best to soothe relations with his fellow singers is Robbie Williams. The Angels star has had a number of high-profile spats with those in the music industry, but if reports in the Sun newspaper are correct than Robbie may be turning a new leaf. According to the paper, Robbie sent a grovelling letter to Oasis singers Liam and Noel Gallagher, apologising for berating them last month. A secret track on his new album is claimed to have said that Liam is inbred. Speaking to reporters at the Q awards, Noel said that a letter had been sent to the band's office, but whether they and Robbie are back on speaking terms is yet to be seen. Perhaps best not to hold your breath. '

Justin Timberlake says he is a better singer than Robbie Williams

Quoted from: http://www.ecanadanow.com/

'The pop superstar took a swipe at Robbie when asked if his forthcoming tour would match up to the 'Angels' singer's recent 'Close Encounters' world tour. Justin said: 'I'm way better than him.' The 25-year-old singer, who is dating 'Charlie's Angels' actress Cameron Diaz, also hinted at what makes his relationship so successful - a good sex life. When asked what his secret talents were, Justin coyly replied: 'Those sorts of talents I like to keep a secret.' Despite boasting about his bedroom prowess, Justin – who is hosting the MTV European Music Awards in Copenhagen, Denmark, tonight (02.11.06) - insists he doesn’t feel like a sex symbol. The 'SexyBack' singer – who previously dated Britney Spears - said: 'I'm not going to say I haven't created an image to go with these records. It is a part of the fun of being on stage.'

Robbie Williams' ABBA plan

Quoted from: http://www.xpressmag.com.au/

'Robbie Williams is to record a host of songs with ABBA.
The 'Angels' singer has been in talks with former ABBA star Anni-Frid Lyngstad about the possibility of releasing several songs with the Swedish quartet, who split in 1983.
Robbie is said to be keen to re-record the group's 1975 hit 'Dancing Queen' among others.
Anni-Frid, 60, is thrilled at the prospect of working with the 'Let Me Entertain You' singer and is waiting for him to finalize their plans.
She said: "Robbie and I talked about doing an ABBA hit together. He has not yet come back on that one."
ABBA - which was made up of two married couples, Anni-Frid and her husband Benny Andersson, and Bjorn Ulvaeus and his wife Agnetha Faltskog - have refused many offers to reunite since splitting.
However, it is hoped that Robbie could bring the four back together for the first time.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Maybe Robbie could be the one to get them together again. It would be a sensational coup."

ROBBIE WILLIAMS - Rudebox [review]

Quoted from: http://www.xpressmag.com.au

'The trend for many artists at the moment is a tendency to try something different, and this trend is reflected in Robbie William's seventh album, Rudebox. Boasting an '80s electro-pop feel, reminiscent of a more mellow Dead Or Alive or even to an extent A-ha, Rudebox takes the listener on a personal journey into the life of the controversial singer. The title track, which sounds a little like the infamous Sakata ads, starts the album but perhaps is the only real standout track from William's latest offering. Although a totally new sound and journey for Williams, this new style may deter his fans, however some tracks including She’s Madonna (a tongue in cheek ode to the Material Girl), Good Doctor and the aptly named Dickhead, shows the former boy band singer at his usual cocky self whilst teaming his vocals with a synthesiser-soaked melody.
With production credits going to the Pet Shop Boys (who contributed to the song We're The Pet Shop Boys), William Orbit and DJ Mark Ronson this album will cater to those who are either fans of the era that made Mr T and Knightrider household names or those who are after something a little bit different from the British performer. Fans of William's previous more pop oriented work may find Rudebox not to their liking.

The iTunes Store Is Having A Bloody Strange Day

Quoted from: http://www.idolator.com

'Unless the world's gone haywire--and Robbie Williams has finally found a wide, non-gay American audience--the iTunes store is currently experiencing a hiccup that transforms it into a European iTunes store. How else to explain a mixed-up world in which Europe, Bobby Conn and Scissor Sisters are among the top sellers, and nobody seems to like Hinder?'
