3DD scores deals on Robbie Williams Special

'LONDON, September 6: 3DD Entertainment has finalized a slate of presales on Robbie Williams: A Close Encounter, featuring the singer's live performance at Leeds Roundhay Park this weekend.

Deals have been concluded with Network Ten, Viasat, YLE, Premiere, M-Net, SBS Broadcasting, Melody TV in the Middle East, Musika 24 in Israel and Telecom Italia, among others. It is also slated to air live on Sky One.

The film, shot in HD, is directed by Hamish Hamilton and produced by Lee Lodge for Done and Dusted.

'It's fantastic that so many broadcasters want to be part of this unique event,' said Lara von Ahlefeldt, the director of music and development at 3DD. 'Robbie entered the Guinness Book of Records by selling 1.6 million tickets to his 2006 world tour in just one day so it's great that this worldwide simultaneous transmission gives all those Robbie fans that missed out a chance to see him perform.'
