Robbie concert shuts down schools

'ROBBIE WILLIAMS is under fire again, this time from a group of angry parents who are raging against the decision to close schools in Leeds, northern England, to make way for the star's concert tomorrow (09SEP06). Eleven schools and learning centres have been shut down to prepare for the influx of 90,000 fans into the area around the venue, Roundhay Park. But although the local education authority insists the plan is merely to protect kids from danger, families are not amused. One furious parent says, "It is absolutely despicable. It is a new term; the kids, teachers, everybody is back at school. ready to get into it and they have closed already."
